Alzheimer's Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Update

CME Enterprise partnered with the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine on the activity Alzheimer's Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Update, available on Medscape. This activity is designed to empower learners to better recognize Alzheimer's disease (AD) in practice and to consider use of tests and imaging when appropriate. Common clinical presentations will be portrayed to demonstrate effective use of screening and diagnostic tools, including the role of brain imaging. Patient cases will be interspersed with faculty commentary on the physician's decision-making process to help learners connect new knowledge to its application in practice. Current evidence-based treatment recommendations and quality of care issues for patients with AD will also be discussed.
