CME Enterprise is well-versed in the latest learning and assessment models in continuing medical education. We are committed to understanding the healthcare professional's lifelong learning needs and specialty board requirements, as well as the increased significance of quality, efficiency, and successful patient outcomes.

In addition, CME Enterprise President Bruce J. Bellande, PhD, FACME, CCMEP, is a leader in the field, having given numerous presentations and been involved in various boards and committees on topics such as performance improvement.  Performance Improvement

To achieve optimal patient care, healthcare professionals must constantly learn and change their clinical performance to keep up with the rapid pace of medical research, technology, and new skills and techniques. CME Enterprise has developed performance improvement modules to facilitate self-assessment, individualized learning plans, and continuous assessment of practice performance and improvement.

 Maintenance of Certification

Unlike the intermittent recertification process that many physicians are accustomed to, the concept of maintenance of certification requires a physician to demonstrate maintenance of expertise in his or her specialty through a commitment to ongoing continuous improvement and quality patient care throughout his or her career. Grounded in six core competencies and a four-part process for continuous learning, maintenance of certification truly holds physicians accountable, on a continual basis, for not only maintaining certification but remaining current. CME Enterprise incorporates elements of maintenance of certification into appropriate educational initiatives and interventions, to reinforce the learning opportunity and impact physician's patient care.

 Pay-for-Performance

Pay-for-performance (P4P) is a quality improvement methodology being gradually introduced across the country by the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The premise of P4P is rewarding quality, not quantity, of care. Payment structures at both the individual and systems level soon will be more accurately reflecting quality patient care and successful outcomes. CME Enterprise strongly encourages P4P and regularly educates both healthcare professionals and educational partners on how we can best embrace this change.
